Congratulations! You have joined Weight Watchers. So now what do you do? First thing, you are about to take your life back. Trust me, this program works. And it’s not just about losing the weight. You will also learn how to maintain the weight loss once you reach your goal. If you have only 10 lbs to lose or over 100 lbs, you can do it!
A little bit about me: I started my Weight Watchers weight loss journey on May 31, 2016. I have lost and maintained a 40 lb weight loss. This might not seem like a huge number, but I went from a size 14/16 and XL to a size 10 and a size M.
Learning to love food for it’s nutritional value and not because it’s fried or smothered in cheese or sauce was a big success to me. I have been able to maintain my weight loss since September 2016, and I so proud of that fact.
The links below will help you get started on your Weight Watcher journey and should provide some helpful resources that you can start to use right away.
You will find resources to help you be successful doing Weight Watchers online, must have pantry items, snack ideas, tips for meal planning and learning about the new SmartPoints.
The new program puts a larger emphasis on eating whole foods, using lean proteins and fruits and veggies, which leads to better overall health. I try to strive for an 80/20 when it comes to whole foods.
I want to eat 80% whole foods that are nutrient rich. 20% of the foods I eat within a day can be more processed. This gives me grace to structure my day with whatever I am wanting/craving that day. And there is always room for chocolate each night – no matter what! I eat Ghirardelli Chocolate Chips (affiliate link) 60% cocao chocolate chips every night…I pop them in my mouth and let them melt. They are amazing and curb that craving.
