When I weighed in yesterday, I was surprised at the number that came back. I have now lost over 20lbs. Over the last few weeks, I was so close to finally losing 20lbs, I could taste it. And now, I finally made it. I am over the moon, but I still have a long way to go. I still want to lose about 15 more pounds, but this is a huge accomplishment.
This first 20lbs was hard. It wasn’t impossible (obviously), but it was hard. I think the hardest part of having to have restraint. I really wanted tortilla chips and cheese dip in the 2 months that I have been on this journey. Like really bad. I have counted out my tortilla chips and ate them with salsa recently. That was hard and definitely not what I wanted. I really want cheese dip and some delightful tortilla chips.
As hard as it was, I was able to drink 2 glasses of wine twice this past week (gasp). And I have had pizza and a hamburger – without the bun – this week…what other diet could I eat pizza and a burger and still lose weight? I also ate Halo Top almost every night this week. I recently found the Mint Chip and Lemon Cake Halo Top. I couldn’t believe I found these flavors and OMG…they are fantastic.
What I love about this program is that you can eat anything you want (in moderation) and you can still lose weight. I love that I am able to eat foods I love without falling off the wagon.
