It’s BBQ season and that means enjoying different sides at gatherings. This spicy creamy coleslaw is delicious and easy to throw together. It also is healthier than your traditional coleslaw that you might buy at the grocery store. This recipe is 2 Freestyle points per serving on WW.
One night last week, I wanted to make sliders, but I wanted to have a side dish with it. Since Fathers Day is coming up and we will be having a cookout, I wanted to try a coleslaw recipe.
I have never tried to make coleslaw myself (we usually buy it from Publix but that isn’t possible on WW).
This recipe is so much healthier than the store bought versions and so freaking easy to throw together. The dressing is wonderful and gives it a little bit of extra spice, which I really loved.
I went back for seconds and thirds that night and you will too.
If you are interested in additional side dish recipes, I highly recommend trying the balsamic and honey brussel sprouts or the apple sausage cranberry stuffing (could be used any time of year).
My husband also really liked it, which I was a little nervous about. He loved the spice added by the stone ground mustard and black pepper and went back for seconds as well.
Him getting seconds is something that doesn’t always happen!
To save you time, you can use the bagged coleslaw mix, or you can use a green cabbage and chop it up (that’s what I did). It was perfect and pretty easy to chop, but if you need to save some time, you can use the bagged version.
If you are obsessed with side dishes like I am, you should try this.
