I think it’s so important to share my journey – the good and the challenging parts. Everyone’s journey is different, but if you are thinking about joining Weight Watchers or losing weight, reading about someone else’s journey can help you get and stay motivated.
I am going to be brutally honest in these posts, because I think that’s what we all need when you decide to finally lose weight and get healthy, and it will keep me accountable throughout my journey.
Changing my relationship with food is one of the most important things I can do. I need to stop using food as a crutch or eating because I’m bored. That’s not helping anyone, including myself.
I also want to learn to love to cook healthy food. I haven’t been much of a cook in my life (that goes to my sister), so I want to learn to love cooking and finding out that healthy food doesn’t have to taste like dirt.
Getting healthy is so much more important to me than the number on the scale. I don’t know about you, but I want to live a long, happy, healthy life and I know that means eating whole foods, cutting back on sugars and carbs and exercising.
INCLUDED IN THIS SERIES YOU WILL FIND:
- Weekly updates on progress, including the scale (actual weight) and non-scale victories
- My meal plan for the week (I do plan our menu over the weekend, so I just need to post it here…just know that recipes will show up a few weeks later).
- Goals and accomplishments
Read the different posts below (the early Journey posts are at the bottom). Feel free to share your journey with me if you are starting out. I found that sharing my Journey has helped with accountability.
